He was predeceased by: his wife Sheila Gannon; and his parents, Calvin Loyst and Theresa Loyst. He is survived by: his stepson Sean Gannon (Jenni) of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Mary Margaret and Eli Gannon of South Carolina; and his siblings, Lenore, Amelia, Harvey, Joyce, Willie, Larry, Carolyn and Andrew.
