It is with sadness that the passing of Marilyn Bennett (Kingston, Ontario) is shared. Marilyn, born on November 7, 1933, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Clifford W. Bennett and Claire Penman Bennett; her siblings, John "Jack" Bennett and Margaret Bennett Hitchcock; her nephew Ian Hitchcock; and her niece Christine Hitchcock Davies.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Kathryn Hitchcock, Leigh Bennett Arundell, David Hitchcock and John Bennett; and her close friend Col. Charles Simonds.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 11:50 AM at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Cataraqui Cemetery (927 Purdy's Mill Rd, Kingston, ON K7M3N1).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations made to AB Smith Homestead House or the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation in support of palliative care.
