It is with sadness that the passing of Marilyn Bennett (Kingston, Ontario) is shared. Marilyn, born on November 7, 1933, passed away on September 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Clifford W. Bennett and Claire Penman Bennett; her siblings, John "Jack" Bennett and Margaret Bennett Hitchcock; her nephew Ian Hitchcock; and her niece Christine Hitchcock Davies.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Kathryn Hitchcock, Leigh Bennett Arundell, David Hitchcock and John Bennett; and her close friend Col. Charles Simonds.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations made to AB Smith Homestead House or the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation in support of palliative care.

“I met Marilyn many times, as I was a dear friend of Margaret &Al Hitchcock and their whole family. Margaret’s daughter, Christine (Marilyn’s niece) was my soul sister and I miss her every day. Marilyn was sweet and always a lot of fun to be around. Those characteristics ran in the family! She will be missed by many. I know that Marilyn is giving a big hug to Marg, Al, Ian & my Chrissy. There will be a party in heaven. I love this family. Godspeed, Marilyn.”
