He is survived by: his wife Suzanne; his son Paul (Allyssa); and his grandson Collin.

“Dear Mrs Spearn, please accept my sincere condolences and this message of remembrance of your husband Mark. In summer of 1982 or 83, I walked in Spearn of Kingston, pushing my daughter's stroller. Mr. Spearn showed me place sets, glass and silver wares, he helped me set up a plan so I could look forward to a fine table of guests.; and I did. I remember just strolling in the store, with not much to do or look forward to but with this purchase, Mr Spearn made me see otherwise.”
