We announce the death of Matthew Richard Cumpson (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on August 23, 2026, at the age of 33. Matthew will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jim Cumpson (Lisa) and Heather Cumpson; his sibling Drew Cumpson; his girlfriend Jenna Perry; his child Barrett Andrew; his stepchildren, Charlee and Tyson; and his grandmothers, Helen Cameron and Anne Cumpson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A reception was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the same location.
