Preston Trent Sturgess Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Preston Trent Sturgess (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert George Sturgess and Ida Marie Corrigan; his wife Freda Marie; his brother-in-law Dave Topping; his son Stephen Sturgess; his daughter-in-law Susan; his siblings, Herbert Sturgess (Wanda Reid) and Sandra Stilwell (Bill); Dorothy Washer, Sharon Lowe, John Washer (Marion) and Fred Washer.

He is survived by: his sons, Kevin Sturgess (Laura) of Boiling Springs and Jim Sturgess (Dawn) of Kingston; his brother Rev. Wayne (Moe); his in-laws, Deanna Washer, Sandy Topping, Linda Peterson and Michael Washer; his great great grandchildren, Oliver and Finn; and his close friends, Jim Corrigan, Wayne, Sharon McGillvary, Kenny Cadieux, Doug and Hubert McIlroy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, 12 grandchildren, 27 great grandkids.

Donations may be made in Preston's honour to Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre in Napanee.
