With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Dufour Thompson (Kingston, Ontario), who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Robert Dufour shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Robert Dufour farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Thompson; his brother Barrie Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Maureen Thompson, Joan Johnson and Dave Johnson; his nephew Joel Thompson; and his nieces, Elena Londeau and Marnie Wood.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home Celebration Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3).
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to U.H.K.F. (Kingston Regional Cancer Centre) or the Canadian Cancer Society. The family has chosen to send donations to Canadian Cancer SocietyDonate Now (https://cancer.ca).
