He was predeceased by: his parents, Ross Stevenson and Betty Stevenson; his sister Neva Coughler; and his brother-in-law George Brierley. He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane (Brierley); his grandchildren, Jessica Jardine, Craig Thornton, Johnny Wilson, Amber Bryant-Peller, Sarah, Brandon Seymour and Jayna Wilson; his great grandchildren, Jack, Brierley Thornton, Evie and Piper Seymour; his brothers, Jim Stevenson (Jean) and Bob Stevenson (Jan); and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Brethour (late Norman), Elsie Brierley, Sharon Burrell (Orville), Diane Hollywood (Dwight), Joanne Johnston (Dick), Sylvia Henry (Elmer), Bill Brierley (Paul) and Debbie Dean (Art). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins.
