He was predeceased by: his father George Hashem of Sydney; and his grandmother Catherine (Daniel MacInnis). He is survived by: his wife Dawn White; his son Daniel; his mother Marguerite MacInnis; and his siblings, John (Jeanette), Joe (Alana), Robert (Maria), George Jr. (Lorna), Michael (Kim), Mary (Nick) and Freda (Rui). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the same location. A reception will be held on Monday, May 5th 2025 at 10:45 AM at the James Reid Funeral Home Reception Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3).
