It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Racey of Kingston, Ontario, born in Chatham, Ontario, who passed away on April 4, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Douglas James Atkinson and Gladys Pearl Atkinson (Burke); her former life partner Frank Racey; and her brothers, Donald and Jack Atkinson.

She is survived by : her husband Joseph Norman Francis Racey; her brother Richard Atkinson; her sons, Thomas Racey (Penny Stewart), Gerald Racey (Janet) and Alan Racey (Kim Burley); her grandchildren, Erin Banton (Scott), Ian Racey (Robyn), Brian Racey (Jennifer), Sarai Racey (Glenn Kisman) and Jordan Racey (Alissa); and her great grandchildren, Paige, William Banton, Ethan Racey, Rowan, Angus Kisman, Wyatt and Parker Racey. She is also survived by her family and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM and at 10:45 AM at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home (69 Wellington St N, Woodstock, ON N4S6P7). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 15th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
