He was predeceased by: his child Nuno. He is survived by: his wife Marie Lourdes; his child Valter (Jordon); his grandchildren, Owen, Noah, Logan and Mina; and his siblings, Manuela (José Freitas), Vidàlia (late Joao Ferreira), Paulo (Jeanne), Goretti (Cathy), Carmen (Angel), Lucia and Luciano. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
