William Joseph Higgins Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Joseph Higgins (Kingston, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2025 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent Cairine Higgins; his sister Nancy Higgins; his sibling's children, Bethany Andress and Ashley Ness; his great-uncles, Jacob, Ryerson (Hazel), Daniel and Matara; his grandparents, Edward and Alicia Macdonald of Wolfe Island, ON; and his uncles, Bruce (Dorothy Macdonald), Fredrick (Marie Macdonald), Douglas (Maurine Macdonald), Robert Macdonald (Doris), Vincent (Colleen Macdonald), Leonard (Charlene Breen) and Winston (Diane Macdonald). He was also cherished by second cousins and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the James Reid Funeral Home Celebration Centre (1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, ON K7M7H3). A burial will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery (718 Division St., All).
In lieu of flowers, we are asking family and friends to make monetary donations to the Ontario Federation for Cerebral Palsy (OFCP) in honour of Billy.
