He was predeceased by: his sister Suzanne; his son Joseph; and his parents, Jeanne Dumont and Joseph Dumont. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Dumont; his sons, Michael (Bo) and Steven Dumont Loving; his stepchildren, Laurence Wright (Shelley) and Kimberly Blanco (Richard); his grandchildren, Kerwin, Evan, Alex, Melanie, Emily and Alexander; his great grandchildren, Avery, Elias, Walter and Noa; and his sisters, Alice Chancey (Christopher) and Rachelle Dumont Lebel. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
