He was predeceased by: his parents, Stan Carter and Vivian Carter; his former wife Claudia; and his wife Bonnie. He is survived by: his children, Crystal (Frank) and Matthew (Amy); his stepchildren, Melissa Atkin (Heather) and Sean Atkin (Lisa); his grandchildren, Olivia and Nicolas; his stepgrandsons, Maxwell, George and Harvey; his brother Phil (Muriel); and his sibling's children, Emma (Joe) and Garrin (Nicole). He is also survived by many relatives and friends.

Donations in Paul's name may be made to the Ontario Wildlife Foundation, or Hotel-Dieu's ICU and CCU departments, or a charity of your choice.
