He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrick Connelly of Kirkfield and Annie Connelly (Foley) of Kirkfield; Barb Murphy (late Jack), Dennis Connelly (Frances), Sheila Goard (late Rae) and Patrick Connelly.

He is survived by: his sister Mary Connelly; Madeline Pearson (late Ralph), Eleanor Kile (Jim), Patricia Donnelly (late Bernard), James Connelly (late Donna), Marcella Patterson (late Arnold), Anne Hannivan (Paul) and Murray Connelly (Wendy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

If so desired memorial donations in memory of John, to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetic Association, would be greatly appreciated by the family.
