He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pauline Strachan of Kirkland Lake; his children, David (Suzanne), Michelle (Rod), Michael (Michele) and Susan (Greig); his grandchildren, Kieran, Coleman, Alexandra and Jack; his siblings, Michael, Jackie, George, Judy, Steven, Brian and John; and his parents, John Gibb "Jack" Strachan and Edna Rita Strachan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Ontario or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 87.
