He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Gignac and Dora Gignac; his wife Pierrette "Pete"; his children, Marc Gignac and Wende Gignac; his sibling Ron; his son-in-law Wayne Dool; and his great grandchild Finn Crawford.

He is survived by: his son Glenn Gignac (Glenda); his daughter-in-law Debby Gignac; his grandchildren, Derrick Dool (Michelle), Kyla Crawford (Denis), Jason Gignac (Heather), Cory Gignac, Justin Gignac (Meghan), Kyle Gignac (Melissa) and Dawson Gignac (Chloe); and his siblings, Claudette Gignac and Bob Gignac (Janine Johnston).
