John left this world on October 21, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Carhart and Raymond Carhart. He is survived by: his sister Ruth (Kathy); his children, Kari Lyn (Andrea) and Mark (Kristen); his grandchildren, Luke, Jake and Willa Mac; his brothers-in-law, Dave (Shawna) and Paul (Gloria); and his sibling's children, Trina (Mike), Shawna (Trevor), Kirsti (Conor), Breana (Ryan), Matthew (Kristin), Ali, Madison, Calum and Jansen.

In lieu of flowers, donations in John's name may be made to the Hilliardton Marsh Research and Education Center, the Kenogami Community Hall or Blanche River Hospital.
