He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Ruby; his brother James; and his son-in-law Laverne. He is survived by: his children, Iona McColl Thompson and Alan McColl Jr. (Tammy); his grandchildren, Alison (Matt Thomas), Alannah (Trevor) and Alan III; his great grandchildren, Ava, Madilyn and Lochlan; his extended family, Paul, Patricia and Denise Gouthro; and his grandchildren, Michelle and Derek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lisaard House Hospice as expressions of sympathy.
