It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Andrew William Hiemstra (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Tess McWhinney; his stepfather Jim McWhinney; his sisters, Audrey Bendus and Amy Hiemstra; and his siblings-in-law, Ross Harbridge and Jackie Hiemstra.

He is survived by: his wife Cindy Basker; his children, Kevin Hiemstra and Terri-Lynn Harvey (Peter); his stepchildren, Sandy Basker (Stephanie), Patricia Ashford (Dave) and Amy Reynolds (David); his grandchildren, Joshua Bradshaw, Brayden Hiemstra, Jordan Hiemstra, Kaylie Harvey, Sierra Harvey, Melissa Heuvingh, Leah Heuvingh, Alex Basker, Hayley Ashford, Miya Ashford, Jake Robson, Logan Wojcik and Emily Wojcik; his great grandchildren, Austin Bradshaw and Aleigha Bradshaw; his father Charles Hiemstra (Jeannie); and his siblings, Ann Harbridge, Albert Hiemstra, Alice Koehn (David Grip) and Art Hiemstra (Ruth). He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
