He was predeceased by: his spouse Javorka; his parents, Istvan and Justika of Europe; and his siblings, Paul of Europe, Joseph of Europe and Ference of Europe.

He is survived by: his son Emile (Brenda); his grandchildren, Kyle Lakatos (Shane), Taylor Lakatos (Ashley) and Krystle; his great grandchildren, Dominik, Faith, David, Jeremiah, Adilyn and Tobias; his siblings, Anoushka Marton (late Paul) of Australia, Katica Jaksa (Mihalj) of Australia, Juliana Vizmeg (late Karlo) of Europe, Adam, Barbara Lakatos of Australia and Alex Lakatos (late Veronka) of Australia; and his nieces and nephews, Mary, Geza Talos, Kathy, Ranko Vladetic, Laci, Helen Lakatos, Sandor Lakatos, Sinisa and Lily Mastelica.
