We announce the death of Christakis Costas Mayirou (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on October 4, 2026, at the age of 80. Christakis will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Costas Mayirou (Charitini Panayiotis) and Christakis. He is survived by: his wife Eleanor; his children, Zoé, Ileana (Ryan) and Stefan (Melissa); his grandchildren, Trista, Levi, Canden, Elliot, Violet and Tessa; his siblings, Andreas (Despo), Galatia (Andreas) and Achilleas (Ellie); and his nieces and nephews, Harry, Fanos, Maria, Christie, Koulis, Koustakis, Yianna, Rita, Stewart and Denise.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church (527 Bridgeport Rd, Kitchener, ON N2K1N7). A burial will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery (119 Arlington Blvd, Kitchener, ON N2A2G8).
