He was predeceased by: his mother Marlene; his sister Lorene; and his stepfather John Piat. He is survived by: his wife Gwen; his daughter Krystal (Joel); his granddaughters, Lucy and Millie; and his siblings, Debbie (David) and John (Helen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations would be appreciated to the Kitchener Stray Cat Rescue.
