We are sad to announce that on May 19, 2026, at the age of 98, Corinne Esther Huras in Kitchener, Ontario, born in Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Arthur Eissfeldt and Marie Eissfeldt; her son John; her grandson Scott; her siblings, Rev. Richard Eissfeldt and Ruth Swartz; her siblings-in-law, Rodney Swartz, Elmer Huras (Agnes), Ruth Leyes (Walter Kuehner) and Rev. Bill Huras (Barbara); William and Frieda.
She is survived by: her husband Rev. Ralph William Huras; her children, Jeanette Kennel (Tim), Jeff Huras (Debra), Mark Huras (Lynn) and Pauline Chapeskie (Kevin); her grandchildren, Laura (Joe), Emily (Rhys), Tricia (Doug), Greg (Krista), Amy, Sarah (Jared), Rebecca (Josh) and James; her great grandchildren, Malcolm, Asher, Arthur, Elsie, Hailey, Hannah, Natalie, William, Nolan, Benjamin, Jacob, Clara and Henry; her brother Lawrence Eissfeldt (Myrna); her sister-in-law Ann Eissfeldt; and her goddaughters, Sherry Swartz and Cindy Neitmann. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Historic St. Paul's Lutheran Church (137 Queen St S, Kitchener, ON N2G1W2).
