She was predeceased by: her husband Herb Gerber; her sister Helen; and her brother-in-law Murray Hoerle. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Gerber (Jon Platt), Kevin Gerber (Karleen), Cheryl Etmanski (Bruce) and Valerie Fitzgerald (Brian Freiburger); her grandchildren, Ryan Potter (Jacquie), Jessica Cerrone (Carmine), Sara Potter (Tameika), Korey Gerber, Kassandra Gerber (Cody Schmidt), Sam Fitzgerald (Madison McCarthy) and Max Fitzgerald; her great grandchildren, Dominic, Zoe, Luca and Nico; and her sister Brenda Meyer (Rox Corriveau). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
