He was predeceased by : his spouse Shirley Maddick; his sister Pat Fletcher; his parents, Arthur Maddick and Lillian Maddick; and his son Jeffrey.

He is survived by : his children, Kevin (Kathy), Brad, Barbara and Sue (Mike Schmidt); his grandchildren, Jason (Michelle), Steven (Kate), Lindsey (Jim Feeney), Brandon (Jamie), Emilie and Garrett; his brother-in-law Dennis Loree; and also Andrea. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
