He was predeceased by: his parents, Peggy and Alex; his brother Andy; his uncle Erich Doering; and his mother-in-law Jean Quantz.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Justin (Shannon), Janelle (Jason) and Jennifer (Scott); his grandchildren, Wynston, Sawyer and Shay; his pets, Wendel and Allen; his sister-in-law Cindy Hanlon; his close friends, Sam and Sue Hakim; and his cousins, Heinz Loewen (Irene) and Harry Doering (Maura McCarthy). He is also survived by his cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:15 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, January 28th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
