It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernst Hans Friedel (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on October 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Monika Boadway (Wayne); his parents, Albin Friedel and Anna Friedel; and his siblings, Liesel, Marie and Georg.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth; his children, Norbert (Catherine), Andrew (Valerie) and Brenda Clutton (Steve); his grandchildren, Sonja Smith (Jeremiah), Matthew Boadway (Allis), Andrea Ray (Benjamin), Rebecca Johansen (Sam), Nicholas, Christopher (Abigail), Jonathan Friedel, Eric, Heather, Marcus, Isaac Friedel (Story), Michael, Ryan and Alyssa Clutton; his great grandchildren, Denver, Troy, Mckinlee Smith, Colton, Hunter, Elsie Boadway, Seth, Enoch, Amos, James and John Ray; and his sister Irmgard. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
