She was predeceased by: her husband Keith Ernest Lathey; her son John Robertson Keith Lathey; her parents, Myrtle Elizabeth (Whiteman) and John Robertson Wellman; and her brother Arthur Wellman (June).

She is survived by: her sons, Geoffrey (Jude) of Christchurch and Christopher of Kitchener; her grandchildren, Adrian (Colleen) of Calgary and Shannon (Zeb Hoshing); her great grandchild Heathcliff of Kitchener; her nephew Lorne Lathey of Copenhagen; her niece Kendra Maynard of Oshawa; and her cousin Susan Wellman of Winnipeg, Manitoba..
