Gail Funnell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gail Funnell (Kitchener, Ontario), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 6, 2026 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Desmond Hisko and Marie Hamelin; her husband Wayne Funnell; her son Ric Stark (Melanie); and her sisters, Sandra Lubenkov (Frank Melcher) and Lynda.
She is survived by: the mother of her child Tami Bandoni (Scott); her grandchildren, Ethan and Olivia Stark; her siblings, Bob Hisko of Timmins and Honsberger; and her sister-in-law Carol Funnell. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (https://cancer.ca) would be appreciated by the family. Donations may be made at the funeral home or online directly through the charity's website.
