He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant Smith and Elsie Smith; and his brother Richard Smith (Jocelyn). He is survived by: his sister Melanie (John Goodman); his niece Jennifer Smith (Ross); his nephew Jason Smith (Lori); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Georgia, Jake, Dylan, Riley and Alex.
