We announce the death of Gerald Lindsay Pickett (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on September 30, 2026, at the age of 83. Gerald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Pickett (Anstey) and Thomas Pickett; and his siblings, Robert John, Malcolm, Silas, Rebecca Hewitt (Ronald) and Priscilla Taylor (Gary).
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Dwayne Pickett (Alison) and Kim Murphy (Rob); his grandchildren, Andrea, Chloe, Megan, Cole and Alanna; his siblings, Lemuel Pickett, Jonas Pickett (Olive), Stanley Pickett (Iris), Seymour Pickett (Denise), Bonnie Matthews (late Eric), Rowena Sylvester (Lorne), Mildred Shewchuk (Rick) and Hilda Hodder (Junior); his sisters-in-law, Adelaide, Lillian and Emily; his nephew Chris Hewitt; his friends, Anthony and Don Sparrow; and his close friends, Lorraine and Ted Mccarthy.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
