He was predeceased by: his parents, Dave Penlington (Jan) and Marg Penlington; and his brother David Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Barb (late Tom), Arlene and Peter (Sharon). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews and friends.

In the spirit of his giving, Ping continues to live on through his organ donations.
