She was predeceased by: her husband Rudolf; her son Ralf; her siblings, Helmut Gust, Rosalie Appelt, Irma Boehnke and Herta Winter; and her parents, Wilhelm Gust and Wanda Gust.

She is survived by: her children, Jutta Langenecker, Kathie Young (Kevin) and Robin Stania (Anne Linkletter); her sisters, Olga Polziehn and Monika Thill of Germany; her grandchildren, Eric Belanger (Jaleisya Spracklin), Andrew Belanger, Duncan Smith, Alex Langenecker and Sydney Stania; her great grandchildren, Lyra Belanger and Braylynn Livingston; and her friend S. A.. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, relatives.
