He was predeceased by: his parents, Mohabir "Isaac" and Sukhranie Mangal; and his siblings, Alfred "Bobby" Mangal, Baljit "Booker" Mangal (Bibi) and Jaikaran "Budso" Mangal (Eunice).

He is survived by: his siblings, Shirley Singh (Deo), Basdeo "Kenneth" Mangal (Anna), Taikchand Mangal (Lila) and Devika Mangal Rajaballey (Rudy); his wife Sandra Mangal; his children, Melissa Mangal-Chakra (Danny) and Sasha Mangal; and his caregiver Grand River Hospital. He is also survived by his sisters and brothers, nieces and nephews, and his many relatives and friends.
