James Uhrig Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Uhrig (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on January 17, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, George and Frieda; his brothers, George and Dick; and his nephews, Ken and Chad. He was also cherished by sisters, brother and sister-in-law.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

“I had the pleasure of Knowing Jim from the curling club. I met Jim during my many years with the K-W Detroit exchange. Had many Saturday morning chats with him. He was very respected by many and always ready to help with any exchange requirements. Jim will be sadly missed not only by family and friends but members of both Kitchener and Detroit curling clubs.
