James Zister Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Zister (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on September 18, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As James departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved James. Though James may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Anna Mae; and his brothers, Harold Zister (late Carolyn) and Louis Zister (Sharon). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home Ltd. (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Agatha Catholic Church (1839 Notre Dame Dr, St. Agatha, ON N0B2L0). A burial was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Parkview Cemetery (335 University Ave E, Waterloo, ON N2K4P4). A reception was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Columbus Conference Centre (145 Dearborn Pl, Waterloo, ON N2J4N5).
