She was predeceased by: her husband Jaroslav Janecka (Jerry); her parents, Antoni Toronczak and Katarzyna Toronczak; and her siblings, Jozef Toronczak, Stanislaw Toronczak and Genowefa Surowiec.
She is survived by: her children, Marcel Janecka and Julie Van Alstine; her son-in-law Brian Van Alstine; her grandchildren, Janica, Victoria and Jake; and her sister Maria Kopystianska.
In the years that followed, Janina faced health challenges, particularly during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, which brought heart and lung issues.
