She was predeceased by : her siblings, Anto Barukčić, Dragan Barukčić (Ana) and Sofija Bosančić (Živko). She is survived by : her siblings, Ilija Barukčić (Marija), Ana Pavlović (Frank), Šimica Pavlović (Ivo) and Marija Harambašić (late Mijo); and her nieces and nephews, Frank Pavlović, John Barukčić, Croatia and Tony Barukčić.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 24th 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St, Kitchener, ON N2B2A5). A burial was held on Monday, January 25th 2021 at 11:00 AM. Masks are mandatory and guests must RSVP to attend the visitation through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467. Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a private funeral service for Janja's family at Holy Family Croatian Parish (180 Schweitzer St, Kitchener, ON N2K 2R5).

The interment service at Woodland can be viewed at approximately 11 a. m. on Monday January 25, 2021 via the following livestream link: As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers the family has asked that the donations be made for the Banovina (Croatia) Earthquake Relief (organized by K-W Croatian Club) or to the Holy Family Croatian RC Church (cards available at the funeral home).
