He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth Kurtz; his brother Ekkehard Kurz; his siblings-in-law, Erna Kurz and Peter Bossart; and his parents, Walter Kurz and Hildegard Kurz.
He is survived by: his children, William Kurtz (Barbara) of Cambridge, Joanna Weinhardt (Werner) of Cambridge and Bethany Reinhardt (Edmund) of Campbellville; his grandchildren, Jonathan (Melody), Philip (Jessica), Daniel Kurtz (Ashley), Rosilda Lima (Erik), Laura Necakov (Sasha), Benjamin Weinhardt (Lori), Sarah Webel (Brad), Josiah (Laura), Noah, Elijah and Johanna Reinhardt; his great grandchildren, James, Luke Kurtz, Cecilia, Hadassah Lima, Luca, Elliot, Malcolm, Pascal Necakov, Rebekah, Violet, Peter, Jacob, Eliana, Linnea Weinhardt, Ezra, Titus and Theodore Webel; and his sister-in-law Virginia Bossart of Woodcliff Lake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
