He is survived by: his children, Rosa Marques (Manuel), Maria Fernanda Mota (Gil), John Pereira (Anabela) and Angelina Pereira; his great grandchildren, Lucas and Paloma; and his caregivers, Luz Batara (Lucy), Mila (Pequena), Valerie, Nanette and Adeline (Skinny). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, close friends.
