He was predeceased by: his son James; and his parents, Hugh Slaney and Edith Slaney. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Slaney; his children, Tracy Pelletier (James) and Christine Quirke (Chad); his grandchildren, Morgan Quirke, Taylor Quirke (Kayleen) and Austin Pelletier; and his siblings, Betty (Ed Smythe), Bob Slaney, Debbie (Bob Rintoul), Carla (Raymond Keenan), Lynda (Gary Hatesohl), Pat Crawford and Tom Slaney.
