He is survived by : his wife Maria; his children, Abilio Gomes (Ana), Fernanda Gomes, Fernando Gomes (Nicole), Carlos Gomes (Teresa) and Jose Manuel Gomes (Odete); and his siblings, Ana Gomes and Abilio Gomes.
