She was predeceased by: her son James Simonek; her granddaughter Josie; her parents, Walter Koebel and Helen Koebel; and her sister Sharon Koebel.
She is survived by: her close friend Wolfgang "Jim" Simonek; her children, Sonja, John, Kimberley, Katherine and Brent; her grandchildren, Amy, Andrew, Shawn, Christina, Alyssa, Tristan, Jessika, Jolyne, Alec and Mikayla; her sisters, Audrey, Diane (Paul) and Gloria (Tom); and her brother-in-law Wayne Koebel.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to KW Humane Society (https://kwsphumane.ca) or the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
