He was predeceased by: his daughter Natasha Maria; his parents, Antonija and Alojz; and his siblings, Alojz (Maria), Janez, Marinka and Antonija Vintar (Stane).
He is survived by: his wife Angela Prilesnik; his son Peter of California; and his sister Kristina (Joseph Balkovec). He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, extended family.
