He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; and his brother Ulli (late Karin). He is survived by: his children, Scott Chmielewski (Allison) and Becki MacLean (Don); his grandchildren, Keegan and Griffin; and his siblings, Ulla Simmer (late Hermi) and Hans Chmielewski (late Inge).
