She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bird and Ida Bird; her siblings, Richard, Margaret, Johnena and Ronald Bird; her former husband William Herbin; her mother-in-law Beulah Brocklebank; her in-laws, Harold Cornish and Margaret Brocklebank; her stepsons, David and Francis; and her grandson Werner Sternberg.

She is survived by: her siblings, Mary Johnston and Robert Bird; her daughter Melanie Herbin; her husband Tom; her in-laws, Ruth Cornish and Edward Brocklebank; her stepdaughter Cindy Sternberg (Ben); her daughter-in-law Christine Brocklebank; her grandchildren, William Ruby-Herbin, Amanda, Jesse, David Sternberg, Francis and James Brocklebank; Mark MacSween. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren.
