We bid farewell to Maria Gomes (Kitchener, Ontario), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 9, 2026 at the age of 87. Maria touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Though Maria may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Maria touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jose De Amorim Gomes; and her parents, Antonio De Amorim Leal and Maria Erminda Da Rocha. She is survived by: her children, Abilio Gomes (Ana), Fernanda Gomes, Fernando Gomes (Nicole), Carlos Gomes (Teresa) and Jose Manuel Gomes (Odete).
