We are sad to announce that, on January 6, 2026, at the age of 82, Marie Carey (Kitchener, Ontario) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marie departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marie may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marie leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Matthew; her children, Michelle Riediger (Greg) and Paul Carey; her grandchildren, Molly Wagler (Curtis) and Jack Riediger (Erin); her great grandchild Owen; and her sibling Jean Kerr (Frank).
