Marilyn Alston Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marilyn Alston (Kitchener, Ontario), who passed away on October 19, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roland Alston (Roly); her parents, William Poole and Kathleen Poole (Lundy); her daughter Marie Villamere (Jim); her grandson Christopher; and her siblings, Marie Bowyer of Toronto and William (Bill).
She is survived by: her children, Jim (Cindy) of St. Catharines, Theresa Shelton of Guelph, Kathleen Dubelaar of Guelph and Michael (Eleanor) of Omaha, Nebraska.; and her grandchildren, Jimmy (Nicole), Michael (Alyssa), Kathryn (Gregg), Jillian (Chris), Sarah (Aaron), Jesse, Nicole, Rebecca, Jacob (Val), Kiah (Andrew), Silas, Megan and Kate (Noah).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Francis of Asissi RC Church (49 Blueridge Ave, Kitchener, ON N2M4E2). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
Marilyn's wish was that in lieu of flowers, acts of kindness be performed in her memory.
