He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Kitchen and Myrtle Kitchen; and his siblings, Jean Robertson, Murray Kitchen, Audrey Rivers, Merle Miehm and Barry Kitchen.
He is survived by: his children, Richard Kitchen (Laurie), Debra Kitchen, Carolyn Thomas and Lori Rose; his grandchildren, Jeremy Martin (Ilaina), Amee Martin (Darrell), Chris Costa, Jeffery Martin (Kelly), Angela VanKoughnett (John), Philip Rose, Michael Kitchen (Cynthia), Theresa Rowe, Emily Balsillie (John), Stephen Kitchen (Katie) and Benjamin Kitchen (Kelly); his great grandchildren, Aurora, Lukah, Peyton, Sophie, Phoenix, Theo, Quinn, Isla, Sasha, Oliver, Alex, Harvey, Charlotte, Lathan, Delaney, Mackenzie, Jasper and Ada; and his friend Gwynne Redford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Food Bank of Waterloo Region, or Hospice Waterloo Region.
